Yahoo! Hack Day Q4 2006
I'm at Yahoo! Hack day Q4 '06. I just presented my team's hack: the one we spent until 4:00am last night implementing. (yes hax0r1ng is fun enough to stay up).
Our hack is called Flickr Tag Explorer. It's yet another Flickr tag hack (the only thing new being the focus on wandering rather than narrowing), which means we have no chance of winning, but the real prize is the beer, the team gel, the break in the monotony, and the experience of doing something different.
I think next year I'll do a robot hack. I think I'll base it on the Yahoo! Hack Day Q3 2006 robot trophy that I received just to be meta. What's more different than a robot hack compared to the typical web app and batch job authoring, and doesn't everyone love robots?
