I got an email forward a couple days ago that looked a bit fishy. It wasn't in snopes, but I managed to find some other sites that had analyzed it and concluded it was a hoax. This was good and all, but snopes is the best way to kill a forward email since so many people check it.

I submitted it, and the very next day it's there! It may have been a coincidence, but I like to believe that they're just wicked fast :)

My second art and first vase

Has anyone been wondering where I've been? Not really you say? Well I'll tell you anyway.

Among other things, I've taken up pottery. Winnie's been doing it for a few months now, and I haven't seen much of her since. Being that the studio is only 1 mile from my home, I've taken it up too.

I haven't done pottery in almost two decades, but as it turns out I haven't forgotten everything (although the techniques are a lot more refined for adults). It's also a nice change from my somewhat stressful job.

Anyway, I'm blogging about it since I finished my first few pieces: one bowl* and one vase. It's about 4" tall and was made for my parent's 30th wedding anniversary as a gift (which will be given belatedly since I finished it about two weeks late).

Finally, time to plug my studio: The best pottery studio in the south bay: Mother Earth Clay Art Center.

* I did receive some help on the bowl from my pottery teacher, so I suppose the vase is my first true solo piece
