Facebook's new privacy policy is very creepy. It's too creepy in fact. For instance, they will retain information on my friends that I invite but whom never sign up for the purposes of advertising...
This is a bit too far so I've deactivated my Facebook account. The creepy part about their deactivation process is that they don't purge my account! All of my data is still retained forever!
I know all big companies have to be evil to survive, but this is just too big of a jump all at once. If you have a Facebook account please deactivate it. Just go to your account settings, select deactivate, and be sure to mention that their new advertising policy is what has motivated you to act.
Since they retain all of our information, if Facebook ever reverses their decision we can all reactivate our accounts and it will be like nothing ever happened :)
Update: Just to be clear I am not Facebook nor am I an official agent of Facebook. I'm not an employee and CANNOT deactivate your Facebook account. But if you're an idiot please feel free to leave another funny comment :)

Just to clarify. I cannot acutally remove the records from Facebook, MySpace, etc. I cannot deactivate your account.
I just went to their support pages and found the deactivate link.
FaceBook sucks! Most of my 'friends' on there are aquaintances or family members. My actual friends, exes and crushes won't even add me to their friends or respond, so I say forget all of em! Taking stupid quizzes is about all I do and is a waste of time. Time I could be spending elsewhere. I wanted to permanently remove myself from FB and the best I can do is deactivate? Guess the only way to get away from the darn site is to just not visit or post anything there more!
